  13. 1. INSTALLATION DIRECTORY
  14. The setup program installs NFL Calendar in the
  15. same directory as NFL Forecaster for Windows 95
  16. (if it is installed on your computer). The two
  17. programs share two files: schedule.nfl and
  18. names.nfl.  If you move either program to
  19. another directory after installation (there is
  20. no reason to do this), you must be sure that
  21. there are copies of names.nfl and schedule.nfl
  22. in both directories.

  24. When asked for the directory to install the
  25. programs to, you should use the default
  26. directory (Program Files\Cotton\NFL) that is
  27. offered to you, unless you have a VERY good
  28. reason for not using it.

  31. 2. INSTALLATION FILES
  32. The setup program places files only in the NFL
  33. Calendar directory, except for a single file,
  34. UNINST.EXE, which may be placed in the Windows
  35. directory.  UNINST.EXE is used to uninstall NFL
  36. Calendar (and NFL Forecaster and programs by
  37. other companies); therefore, it should not be
  38. removed from your disk. The setup program
  39. does not make any changes to the config.sys
  40. or autoexec.bat files.

  42. A minimum of three files must always be in the
  43. Calendar directory in order to run
  44. NFL Calendar:
  45.    NFL Calendar.exe: Executable program file.
  46.    schedule.nfl: NFL schedule.
  47.    names.nfl: Team names.

  49. Several other files are placed in the
  50. NFL Calendar directory:
  51.    NFL Calendar.hlp: On-line help file.
  52.    NFL Calendar.cnt: On-line table of contents.
  53.    DEISLx.ISU: Log file used for uninstalling.
  54.    ReadMe.txt: Information file.
  55.    vendinfo.diz: Information file.
  56.    Products.txt: Information file.
  57.    file_id.diz: Identification file.

  60. 3. UNINSTALLING
  61. The uninstall program removes NFL Calendar.
  62. It removes all files and Registry entries that
  63. were installed by the installation program
  64. (except for the uninstallation program itself;
  65. see above). It does not (cannot) remove files
  66. that were placed in the NFL Calendar directory
  67. after installation.

  69. The on-line help topic "Installing/Uninstalling
  70. NFL Calendar for Windows" contains step-by-
  71. step instructions for removing NFL Calendar
  72. from your computer system.

  74. If NFL Calendar is already installed on your
  75. computer and you want to be sure that this
  76. version will uninstall EVERYTHING, you should
  77. uninstall the other version of NFL Calendar
  78. before installing this version (press the
  79. Cancel button, uninstall the other versions and
  80. run this install program again). You will,
  81. however, lose your current preferences settings.

  84. 4. REGISTRATION
  85. NFL Calendar is a copyrighted shareware
  86. product; it is not freeware or public domain
  87. software. You can try it before you buy it and
  88. you are encouraged to give copies to others. If
  89. you use it after 30 days, you must register it.

  93. Register NFL Calendar" in the on-line help
  94. after installation.

  97. 5. LIMITATIONS
  98. The unregistered version of NFL Calendar for
  99. Windows 95 is identical to the registered
  100. version EXCEPT that the function for preparing
  101. a new NFL schedule will not save data to disk.
  102. It's only fair that you cannot use the
  103. unregistered version of the program for more
  104. than one NFL season without registering it.
  105. You can, however, use it to see how it works.

  108. 6. PREFERENCES AND WINDOWS LAYOUT
  109. If NFL Calendar is already installed on your
  110. computer, your preferences will be preserved
  111. when you install this version; they will not be
  112. "wiped out."
