NFL CALENDAR 1.0 FOR WINDOWS 95
INSTALLATION NOTES:
1. Installation Directory
2. Installation Files
3. Uninstalling
4. Registration
5. Limitations
6. Preferences and Windows Layout
7. Other Programs
1. INSTALLATION DIRECTORY
The setup program installs NFL Calendar in the
same directory as NFL Forecaster for Windows 95
(if it is installed on your computer). The two
programs share two files: schedule.nfl and
names.nfl. If you move either program to
another directory after installation (there is
no reason to do this), you must be sure that
there are copies of names.nfl and schedule.nfl
in both directories.
When asked for the directory to install the
programs to, you should use the default
directory (Program Files\Cotton\NFL) that is
offered to you, unless you have a VERY good
reason for not using it.
2. INSTALLATION FILES
The setup program places files only in the NFL
Calendar directory, except for a single file,
UNINST.EXE, which may be placed in the Windows
directory. UNINST.EXE is used to uninstall NFL
Calendar (and NFL Forecaster and programs by
other companies); therefore, it should not be
removed from your disk. The setup program
does not make any changes to the config.sys
or autoexec.bat files.
A minimum of three files must always be in the
Calendar directory in order to run
NFL Calendar:
NFL Calendar.exe: Executable program file.
schedule.nfl: NFL schedule.
names.nfl: Team names.
Several other files are placed in the
NFL Calendar directory:
NFL Calendar.hlp: On-line help file.
NFL Calendar.cnt: On-line table of contents.
DEISLx.ISU: Log file used for uninstalling.
ReadMe.txt: Information file.
vendinfo.diz: Information file.
Products.txt: Information file.
file_id.diz: Identification file.
3. UNINSTALLING
The uninstall program removes NFL Calendar.
It removes all files and Registry entries that
were installed by the installation program
(except for the uninstallation program itself;
see above). It does not (cannot) remove files
that were placed in the NFL Calendar directory
after installation.
The on-line help topic "Installing/Uninstalling
NFL Calendar for Windows" contains step-by-
step instructions for removing NFL Calendar
from your computer system.
If NFL Calendar is already installed on your
computer and you want to be sure that this
version will uninstall EVERYTHING, you should
uninstall the other version of NFL Calendar
before installing this version (press the
Cancel button, uninstall the other versions and
run this install program again). You will,
however, lose your current preferences settings.
4. REGISTRATION
NFL Calendar is a copyrighted shareware
product; it is not freeware or public domain
software. You can try it before you buy it and
you are encouraged to give copies to others. If
you use it after 30 days, you must register it.
For a complete list of registration benefits
and ordering methods, read README.TXT at the
end of installation or see the topic "Why
Register NFL Calendar" in the on-line help
after installation.
5. LIMITATIONS
The unregistered version of NFL Calendar for
Windows 95 is identical to the registered
version EXCEPT that the function for preparing
a new NFL schedule will not save data to disk.
It's only fair that you cannot use the
unregistered version of the program for more
than one NFL season without registering it.
You can, however, use it to see how it works.
6. PREFERENCES AND WINDOWS LAYOUT
If NFL Calendar is already installed on your
computer, your preferences will be preserved
when you install this version; they will not be
"wiped out."
7. OTHER PROGRAMS
See the file "Products.txt" for information
about other 100% Cotton Software programs.
